Hi all,
Well finally it’s Easter and we are into week 3 of the lock down. I’ve been hearing from lots of students and staff and seeing some brilliant work done on Showbie. Mr Quinn talks a lot about the power of technology and we have certainly seen how this has changed education in this strange, strange time.
Our college day has changed dramatically. First thing in the morning, I check in with staff and families. Generally then, it’s just a matter of emails and phone calls around what’s going on and what we are going to do next.
By mid afternoon (after my 1 hour of outdoor exercise), Mr P and I have a quick conversation about what we’ve done and what we need to do. Then it’s back to planning. Mr P has even got his son involved..
We are already thinking about what the future looks like and I’m sure it’s going to look very different from September.
So, to the celebrations of this week. Certificates went out to Bailey, Stephen H. and Brandon. Well done to them and we will be collating points for the reward scheme..
Well done also to Josh F, Connor I and Callum K who submitted work on Showbie.
Easter weekend is upon us and the sun is out. With all this in mind, we still remain in social lock down and social distancing. I cannot stress enough that the safest place for everyone is at home. We had a family photo last week to show our appreciation to the NHS – through Hollinwood Academy where my daughter teaches – so I thought I would share the ‘rainbow picture’ of my family..
So from my house to yours, Happy Easter. Stay safe, stay at home and support the NHS.
