I can’t believe we are at the end of another week. The week started for myself, Mr P and Mrs Walton from next door walking round Medtia and Springboard Project with our premises staff.
We are in the process of looking at all aspects of the building, from movement to cleaning. It’s safe to say, it’s all going to be really different from our usual routine. At Springboard we always greet everyone with a “good morning” and a handshake – that’s going to have to change..
At the present moment in time, Springboard will remain with its remote learning offer for students. A big thanks goes to all parents and carers for their honest and open feedback regarding students’ individual risk assessments. We will continue to communicate our next steps through phone calls, emails and social media – you can find the latest update here. If anyone has any immediate problems, please feel free to email me or Mr Pidlyskyj.
Home learning continues and it’s brilliant to see students get up to lots of activities in the home. Last week I was sent a brilliant email from Miss Taylor who had called to see how Jayden was working.
Jayden has been working on his garden for his mum and informs us he is really missing Springboard Project
Brilliant Jayden.
I’ve also spoken to Mr Ward who says a special mention needs to go out to Brandon who has worked exceptionally hard on his maths – not just this week, but throughout COVID lockdown. Well done Brandon. Keep it up.
Mrs Burrows has also commented on the work put in by some students and I know that Kaiden, despite his broken shoulder, has worked well for Mrs Roberts. Our staff are working really hard on the planning for next year, including some new exciting resources for our curriculum.
Next week we are hoping to get out information to our new families as to what we are about at Springboard, together with an introduction to the staff and their profiles.
In the meantime – carry on working folks, keep safe and be kind.
Mrs Tootill
Head of Springboard Project
