Hi, this week’s blog has been prepared by myself and one of our students, Jayden Q. This week Jayden has interviewed some staff and students to give you an insight into life at Springboard.
This week at Springboard students have continued to work with the guys at ACE training and are continuing to build their skills in bricklaying, joinery and motor mechanics. The feedback from the staff continues to be excellent and the students are making fantastic progress.
Our resident chef Lotfi has once again worked with the students in the kitchen providing a whole host of delicious treats including flapjack and chocolate cake..
The students have also been helping make the school lunches including making pasta with home made meatballs..
On Thursday a group of students were rewarded with a trip to the Saddleworth Kitchen, here the students all cooked their own chocolate brownies from scratch. The students absolutely loved this visit and are eager to go back again.
We rounded the week off with our Duke of Edinburgh activities, this week the group went to Naden Valley in Rochdale. For those who stayed in school it was Christmas jumper day! All staff and students were invited to wear their Christmas jumpers and raise money together.
And finally here is Jayden’s video interview with a variety of staff and students at Springboard..
