Success Stories at Springboard Project!

We love sharing the successes of our students at SBPT…

You can always see how our job seekers and young people are getting on via our social media, but here we have two recent success stories to brighten your day!

Ed secured a two day work placement at Global Auctioneers!

Ed had asked for a variety of different placements because he doesn’t really know what he wants to do when he leaves us.

At Global Auctioneers, Ed is working in the warehouse, where he will be picking and packing stock, loading and unloading pallets, recycling, keeping the warehouse tidy and locating stock from different areas within the grounds.

Ed’s manager was really pleased with his work and said he’d completed all work given and to a great standard.

As well as learning a variety of warehouse skills, Ed is also learning the importance of being on time, forming good positive relationships with co-workers, making sure he wears the correct clothing and many other transferable skills needed in working life.

Well done, Ed!

We also saw some success for Callon this week, as he began a new work placement!

Callon is hoping for a career in motor vehicle mechanics and started his first work placement on Tuesday.

When asked about his first week, Callon said…

“I’ve really enjoyed my first week, it’s like being at work and having a proper job. The people I work with are sound and the cars I’m working on are really nice. I’ve learnt loads already.”

Thank you to Paul and the rest of the team at ‘Drury Lane Auto Services’ Oldham, for providing a work placement for one of our students and for taking the time to work with him to teach him new skills which will help further develop his career.

Without the support of local employers like Paul, our students wouldn’t get these valuable opportunities!

Thank you also to Maria at Upturn Enterprise, Oldham, for your help in securing the placement for Callon, your support is very much appreciated and we look forward to developing our partnership further in the future.

If you think you could offer a work placement for one of our students, please contact:
