Spring 1 Update

Half-Term Highlights: Skills, Teamwork & New Challenges!

This half term has been packed with exciting opportunities for our students, who have shown incredible enthusiasm, resilience, and teamwork across a wide range of activities. Here’s a look at what they’ve been getting up to:

Duke of Edinburgh: Archery & Bushcraft Adventures

Our Duke of Edinburgh students have taken their skills to the next level by diving into archery and bushcraft training. From perfecting their aim to developing essential outdoor survival techniques, they’ve demonstrated focus, discipline, and a fantastic willingness to push themselves outside their comfort zone. Their growing confidence and teamwork have been brilliant to see.

Football Competitions

It’s been a competitive half term on the football pitch! Students took part in a football competition, showing excellent sportsmanship, strategic thinking, and determination. Whether defending, scoring, or working together to move the ball up the field.

KS5 Escape Room Team-Building

Our KS5 students have been strengthening their teamwork by tackling escape-room-style puzzles. These sessions challenged them to think critically, communicate clearly, and use each other’s strengths to solve problems under time pressure. Their collaboration and creativity shone through in every challenge.

SPT1: “Beat the TA” Challenge

SPT1 have had a brilliant half term focusing on teamwork through a fun and fast-paced activity: Beat the TA. Students and the class TA faced off in a series of challenges designed to build cooperation, communication, and shared problem-solving. The friendly competition, laughter, and team spirit made it a highlight of the term.
